What is Desktop Screenshots?

"The Mac has always had the ability to capture the screen to a picture file via COMMAND-SHIFT-3 and with System 8 additionally with COMMAND-SHIFT-4. They work great but have the annoying habit of saving the screenshots at the top level of the hard drive. With a little research I discovered that there is in fact a way to specify where the pictures should be saved and thus was born Desktop Screenshots. A tiny extension that redirects those picture files right to the desktop for easy access."
