What is Chameleon 1.0.1?

Chameleon changes the background tiles of a Macintosh desktop. This was the commercial version of Before Dark, a shareware utility app also written by Craig Marciniak, and used for changing desktop tiles on a Macintosh System.

Chameleon was part of an earlier set of the 7th Heaven Utilities (includes Chameleon v2.0)

Chameleon is best suited for installing onto Macintosh Systems 7.0 to 7.1.2 – Largely redundant for Mac OS's 7.5+, as desktop tiles were introduced into the Mac OS as a standard option and made obsolete by Mac OS 7.5's own "Desktop Patterns" Control Panel app.
