PUD Master is a Macintosh application for modifying Warcraft II data, including both PUD files and internal Warcraft data. It is still in the development stages, with a few unimplemented features and a lot of bugs. The program was largely inspired by several of the Warcraft editors for PCs, including War2xEd, WarDraft, PUD Browser, War2Unit, and WarMaker.
Features:
- Standard PUD editing capabilities: Full detail views, minimap, unit and terrain placement.
- Support for expansion heroes and the Draenor tile set.
- Enable/disable units, buildings, spells, and upgrades.
- Give players starting spells and upgrades.
- Advanced unit modifications: flying ships, submarine transports, commando rangers, and much more.
- Change the speed at which units move, attack, and harvest.
- Use any of the 83 built-in AI's for computer opponents.
- Edit the AI build programs.
- Text editor for changing any of the game text, including unit names.
- Tile set editor: Create your own worlds to battle over.
- Unit graphics editor, including structures.
- Scenario objective editor for custom campaigns (68K only)
- Enable wall building for single player games (68K only)
- Random (yet configurable) terrain generation for new PUDs.
- Save all your modifications in a special WADE (Warcraft Archive Data Enhancement) file which can be distributed to other players and used to synchronize the modified data for multiplayer games.
- Warcraft archive explorer for poking around in the actual Warcraft data files.
- Browser mode for quickly examining a large group of PUDs.
- Computer scenario guide: displays full scenario maps, including units, along with a walk-through and special tips for the level.
- Sample PUDs/WADEs to illustrate the full capabilities of the software.
- Comprehensive documentation.
- Plug-in technology allowing other developers to incorporate their PUD editing programs into the PUD Master.
