What is LiveCode (PowerPC)? LiveCode is a cross platform IDE that has been around since 2001. It has been described as the "modern day HyperCard" as it was inspired by it and is the only HyperCard clone that runs on all major OS'es. Initially through MetaCard engine, a HyperCard commercial clone, LiveCode then evolved to include its own programming language named "LiveCode Builder" in 2015. LiveCode is "Code it once, deploy it to billions of devices" as it supports all major OS'es such as iOS (since 2010), Android, Mac OS X (and macOS), Windows and Linux and HTML5. Older releases even supported compiling for Mac OS 9. This page hosts the last PowerPC releases. For more modern (Intel) releases of LiveCode see https://downloads.livecode.com/livecode/ For source code releases, see https://github.com/livecode which was proudly announced on LiveCode.org with the very first sentence of the site stating "We believe in Open Source software." but on september 1st, 2021, LiveCode CEO Kevin Miller announced that LiveCode was no longer open source:
