What is Pixar Showplace 2.1+/Pixar Showplace 2.1 CD?

Program for show and use PR Renderman for render 3D models create in other programs. Program can also do motion animation. Pixar stop support and sell it 1995.12.22 (after sucess create their first movie Toy Story) but not open source it  for customers support them selves.

 

Disk set is for version Showplace 2.0.

CD version is Showplace 2.1.

Modern version of similar software from Pixar is open source USD (Universal Scene Description) but not have PR Renderman software (it have new real time renderer call Hydra):

Macintosh Repository also have Pixar Showplace RIB Developer's Kit, but need Showplace program for use this kit.
