What is Popup Navigator? You know the popup menu you get when you command-click a Finder window's title bar? This control panel adds similar functionality to most applications. This version requires System 7.5 and works in a very simple manner: it looks for a unique open file of the same name as the window, and displays the popup if found. The filename must be the same as the window's title. If there is no matching file no popup will appear and the window will drag as normal. If there is more than one matching file, a small disabled popup menu will appear telling you this. If the navigation popup menu appears, you can drag through it; if you select an item, then Popup Navigator tells the Finder to display that item. Just like folder windows in the Finder! If an application implements its own form of path popups (e.g., CodeWarrior), then Popup Navigator won't interfere, so applications can have priority (but see below.)
