What is FormatterFive?

Software Architects is proud to announce FormatterFive , Version 4.0. FormatterFive  continues to be the leading partitioning and file transfer utility for the Macintosh. Since FormatterFive  lets users create both Macintosh and DOS partitions on the same side of a removable disk or hard drive, it is the ultimate solution for a "sneaker net" environment. Users can effortlessly mount DOS volumes on their Mac desktop enabling the transfer of DOS or Windows files to the Mac and back again--quickly and easily.

FormatterFive  Version 4.0 incorporates the following enhancements and updates:

· Complete Windows 95 Support - FormatterFive  automatically mounts Windows 95, Windows 3.X, and DOS disks of any type on the Macintosh desktop. Users can view both extended Windows 95 filenames, and DOS 8.3 or Windows 3.X filenames simultaneously.

· Background Formatting - FormatterFive  allows users to go outside of the formatting application once a format has begun. (drive dependent)

· Extended Support for SCSI Device IDs - FormatterFive  supports multiple SCSI busses and SCSI wide. Users using SCSI wide can view SCSI addresses 0-15.

· Enhanced User Interface - FormatterFive  incorporates a new user interface which builds upon FormatterFive 's tradition of ease of use and intuitive design.

· Increased Support for Third Party SCSI Cards - FormatterFive  now supports host adapter cards that support SCSI 4.3.

· Type-in Partitioning Sizing - Once a user sets a partition flag, FormatterFive  lets users type-in the exact volume size for precise sizing.

· IDE Support -  FormatterFive  now supports IDE hard drives.

· 2 Terabyte Support - FormatterFive  enables users to create volumes up to 2 Terabytes in size.

· HFS Plus Partitions - FormatterFive  enables users to create volumes in the "more efficient" HFS Plus format.

· Universal Disk Format (UDF) Support (a Software Architects exclusive!) - FormatterFive  is the first formatting utility to provide users the ability to create an empty UDF format for an partition.

The "easy install" option installs the following files to your boot disk.

Files installed to the "Control Panels Folder"
              Mac-PC Manager  Control Panel

Files installed to your Boot disk
              A "FormatterFive " folder that contains:
              FormatterFive
              Software License Agreement
              This Read Me file
              Simple Text
