What is Chipmunk Basic 3.x? Chipmunk Basic is a BASIC interpreter for Macintosh (68K and PPC), Windows and Linux. Included here are versions for System 6, 7 and Mac OS 9. Chipmunk Basic supports AppleScript, Drag and Drop, and Communications Toolbox technologies. It can also work with graphics, sound, sprites, speech, and OOP. Trivia: The author even ported the interpreter to MkLinux, which was created by OSF and Apple Computer, and various Unix operating systems (SunOS, HPUX, and SGI IRIX). He also created cbasPad, an interpreter for a subset of the BASIC language, for the Palm OS.
