What is Mac OS 8.6 (Disc 1.2) (G4) (691-2460-A) (CD)? For PowerMac G4 Sawtooth (AGP)
According to this discussion on macos9lives.com, the powermac G4 AGP (sawtooth) originally shipped with an OS 8.6 install disc which soon got replaced by an OS 9 disc and thus the 8.6 install disc that actually has all the right drivers for the G4 AGP mainboards ethernet and whatnot seemed to be somewhat hard to find.
Well, someone managed to dig it out and upload it to a mediafire account ... from my experience, files uploaded like that have a habit of suddenly disappearing without warning, so I thought it would be nice to have a copy here, just in case someone else wants to install 8.6 on an AGP G4 someday.
