What is Mac OS X 10.3.7 (7T11) for Mac Mini G4 1.25ghz or 1.42ghz (691-5213-A)?

This is the first (disc version 1.0) release restore DVD set for the Mac Mini G4 1.25ghz and 1.42ghz from early 2005 and it includes Mac OS X 10.3.7 (7T11).  This is product number 691-5213-A

Alternatively, for those two Mac Mini models, you can also use the third release restore DVD set that includes Mac OS X 10.4.0.

If you need the restore DVD for the Mac Mini G4 1.33ghz and 1.5ghz from late 2005, then it's the one that includes Mac OS X 10.4.2 (8D40).

This is an image of the official Mac mini (2005; PowerPC) Install CD. Won't work on any other hardware. It took me a lot of time to get this running. Since I've found out how to do that, I will add a guide:

1. Download the image to your Mac (it might be corrupted with old Macs, if so dowload it from a newer Mac and copy it to your Mac Mini.)

2. Mount (double-click) the .toast image

3. Create a partition on your Mac mini and restore it from disk utility by chosing the mounted disk image

4. Shut down yur Mac mini.

5. Turn it on and hold the ALT-key pressed until you see the boot options

6. Select the partition with the 10.3.7 Install DVD image on it

7. Install Mac OS X as regular That's it! Not that hard, right? You can do that with any other Mac OS X image, too.
