What is TechTool Pro 3.0.6?

TechTool Pro 3 was, for a couple years, the absolute best and most complete diagnostics utility for PowerPC Macs.  This bootable CD features no less than 5 System Folders that can boot any PowerPC Mac that supports pre-OSX (Mac OS 9) Mac OS so you run tests without a working or even an installed OS.  This is kind of equivalent to Apple's hardware test CD's.

If you hold down keys 1 through 5 at boot time (the ones above letters, NOT the ones on the numeric keypad) then you can specify which System version to boot (1=7.5.5, 2=7.6.1, 3=8.1, 4=9.1, 5=9.2.2) which can be useful if your Mac has very little amounts of RAM installed and tries to boot 9.2.2 or 9.1 because the ROM allows it but that it fails due to insufficient amounts of RAM on your motherboard (e.g. only 16MB).

TechTool Pro 3 comes with a full memory (including VRAM) testing utility as well as a serial port, sound and hard disk diagnostic tool, just to name a few.

You can't go wrong with this bootable diagnostic suite CD for your PowerPC G3 Mac, it's the most complete and compatible one for your G3!
