What is Kamikaze (Avatar: Principles of Conflict demo)?

Avatar: Principles of Conflict would have implemented five chess variants with special boards, pieces, and/or rules. Only the Kamikaze variant was released, as a free preview on the October 1994 Inside Mac Games CD.

In kamikaze chess (aka losing chess, anti-chess, etc.) players are forced to make a capture if one is possible, but compete to lose all of their pieces first. This is much more challenging than it sounds.
