Lindenstrasse is a series of the German TV station "WDR" and is regarded as the first German soap opera.
The first episode was aired on December 8, 1985, at 18:40. Since then, Lindenstrasse has run weekly. Episode 1,000 ran on January 30, 2005. Regular time slot of the episodes first broadcast since March 13, 2005 is on Sundays at 18:50 on the TV station named "ARD". Originally the series to be broadcast on Thursday in the main evening program, therefore the acts play usually always on a Thursday.
