What is WannaBe 1.0b14?

WannaBe is a limited text-only web browser for PowerPC or 68k Mac OS computers. Very useful if you only need the text of web pages, or HTML files on your computer.

The aim was not to create a full-featured browser. Rather, a browser allowing to read favorite web pages without gobbling up several megabytes of RAM (WannaBe requires 2-3 M) without wasting time waiting for tables to render. Does not support images, tables, forms, bookmarks, cookies, etc. But it does support proxy servers, links to frames and images, multiple threads, copying text, and downloads if the server does not require cookies.

Requires Color Quickdraw, available on all PowerPC and 68k Macs, exept those with the original Motorola 68000 processor.

Requires Internet Config 2.0 or later.
