What is Flip4Mac (Pre-Lion)?

Windows Media® Components for QuickTime(TM)
Flip4MacTM WMV is the official Windows Media player on Mac OS X – supported and hosted by Microsoft. This collection of QuickTime™ components allow you to easily play, import, and export Windows Media® files. Flip4Mac WMV can be used with most of your favorite QuickTime applications including Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote. After installing Flip4Mac WMV, you can play Windows Media files using QuickTime Player and view Windows Media content on the Internet using Safari and other Web browsers. By upgrading Flip4Mac WMV to Player Pro, Studio, Studio Pro, or Studio HD, you can also import Windows Media files for editing, and create Windows Media files in SD or HD for distribution. These features are available in trial mode until you’re ready to purchase an upgrade to another Flip4Mac WMV edition.
