What is Flexigraphs?

Lying with statistics has a long and storied history in the business world, and now there's a whole new way to be creative with numbers—Flexigraphs. Normal business graphics start with numbers and create charts; Flexigraphs lets you start with the chart and make it look the way you want, and then it generates the numbers necessary to produce the chart. Misleading? Perhaps, but Flexigraphs doesn't lie to people — people lie to people.

There are actua11y legitimate uses for “flexigraphy,” as the developers of Flexigraphs like to call the process. When forecasting, you often have to make up numbers anyway, so why not use Flexigraphs to make them look good in chart form? You can start from a pie chart, a bar chart, a line chart, or even a spreadsheet, and use special tools such as the wand, upcurve, s-curve, interval, and ghost to manipulate your charts to create data. You can control colors, patterns, lines, and fonts and can also create constraints and lock parts of graphs when you're happy with a particular section.

Flexigraphs is easy to use, and its 92-page manual is more than sufficient to get you started. The interface is simple yet elegant. You'll never look at a forecast the same way again.
