What is Vine VNC Server 3.5 for OS9? VNC Server 3.5 (a.k.a. Vine VNC Server) is a VNC (virtual network computing) compliant server. It is a remote desktop application based on the RFB (remote frame buffer) protocol which allows you to send keyboard and mouse events from a remote machine and see the screen of that machine running the VNC server over a TCP/IP network. VNC is used in a wide variety of ways including IT helpdesks, remote system administration, education, and of course test automation! Vine is VNC for Mac, both the VNC Server that runs on the system to be controlled, and the VNC Client that controls the server remotely. Chicken of the VNC is a client on OS X that can connect to a Mac 9 system running VNC Server 3.5.
