What is Tales from the Kangaroo's Crypt: 4 Billion Years of Extraordinary Australia?

Tales from the Kangaroo's Crypt was an educational game produced by the Australian Federal Government as part of the 'Australia on CD' multimedia series, and was distributed free to every primary school in Australia (my own primary school had several copies). Styled as a point-and-click adventure game, Tales from the Kangaroo's Crypt has you exploring an abandoned far-future 'zoo', where you can check out exhibits on paleontology, the history of life in Australia, invasive introduced species, Indigenous Australian culture and other topics, or travel back in time to visit different eras in Australia's prehistoric past.

System Requirements

From Mac OS 7.0 up to Mac OS 9.2

Compatibility notes

The software is split into three parts. You can easily extract them into one single Toast file using Stuffit Deluxe; either by selecting the files and dropping them into DropSegment or selecting 'Expand' in the Stuffit Helper tab. After extracting them together, open Toast and drag the Toast disc image into the Data window and press 'Mount'.

This software works perfectly in System 7 up to Mac OS 9.2.2. The disc image is a hybrid, meaning that you can also run the software on Windows 3.1 and 95 machines.

Emulating this? It could probably run under: SheepShaver
