The PowerMac Preferred CD (or "PowerMac Perferred") is a compilation of PPC software from the mid 90's.
This preferred collection is a selection of hundreds of PowerMac native software from around the Internet. Use native utilities, interfaces, games, editors, communication applications and more . The directory structure is designed to help you find any type of program you are interested in using. If you are looking for something specific, then search for those games with the assistance of one our interfaces.
Apple introduced the PowerPC, whose processor runs much faster than the 68K chips. Software written for the 68k machines can run on a PowerPC machine, but not at an increased speed. Software that is written to take advantage of the speed your PowerMac is called 'native' software. A program labeled 'fat' will run on a PowerPC while taking advantage of it's speed or on a 68k.
Tap into the power of your PowerMac with this collection of software designed specifically for it.
