What is Mac System 5.x?

Mac OS 5.0 confusingly was a mix of System 4.2 with Finder 6.0

Mac OS 5.1 confusingly was a mix of System 4.3 with Finder 6.0

SSW 5 was a short lived and rarely available system software as it was only meant to be a quick transition from System 4 to System 6.
