(There's no video for Scheme Factory (Kaleidoscope editor) yet. Please contribute to MR and add a video now!)
From the Read Me file back in 2001: The version of Scheme Factory that you have right now is a preview release version of what we hope will be the next generation Kaleidoscope scheme editor. You'll find that Scheme Factory offers a clean and easy to use interface allowing you to create schemes as quickly as you can draw the elements for your scheme. Scheme Factory is built with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines in mind, so you can count on it to work the way you expect a Macintosh application to work.
Unfortunately, because this is a preview release, it's far from complete. By the time we are done with Scheme Factory, it will be a one-stop shop for creating a Kaleidoscope scheme, from start to finish.
Note from that-ben: Well... that never happened. PR2 was the last known version released and it stayed stamped on their website for 12 years until the whole website was shut down. They also never were able to hack their way into Mac OS X themes either. But Scheme Factory PR2 can still be used to make/edit schemes and is self declaring as the only official Kaleidoscope scheme editor (altough D' Studio is much better alternative and existed years before!)
