What is Bible Sleuth: The Case of the Purloined Pendant?

Bible Sleuth: The Case of the Purloined Pendant is an educational game designed to teach the Bible. A robot has broken into a museum and stolen a precious gem. This robot is part of a gang of criminals. The player is a detective who needs to track down and capture these criminals one at a time, in the correct order.

The player uses the mouse or keyboard to move his character across the map in real time, looking for pieces of circuit boards, each of which has imprinted on it part of a Bible phrase. The player needs to collect all the circuit pieces and take them to the city hall in order to reassemble them there. Some of the pieces will be picked up by "secret agents" before the player can get to them. These secret agents will then offer to "sell" the pieces back to the player. In order to "buy" a piece, the player must complete a time challenge such as re-arranging a Bible phrase.

Once the player has all the circuit pieces and has reassembled the circuits, the player needs to find the bad guys' hideout within a certain amount of time. The player can randomly enter buildings on the map and search, but the intent is to get clues from "Sherlock Hound", a dog that roams the map. If the player runs into him and successfully answers a Bible question, he will give the player a clue.

While the player is roaming the map, they can be run over by a car or zapped by the robots' ship, both of which cost the player time.

When the player enters a building, the scene changes to a 3D perspective. If a robot is present in the building, it will appear on the player's radar. If the player locates a robot, they need to insert the correct completed circuit boards into that robot in order to deactivate it.
