What is Phoenix 0.8d?

Virtual modular synthesizer application (similar to Nord Modular and SunVox in some regards) from the Italian Mac programmer and vintage synth collector Antonio Tuzzi. Syd (1996) was an inspiration for this program.

A modular synthesizer is a method of electronic sound design based on connecting broken-up synthesizer elements together to create sounds, and many virtualized versions of this type of framework came and went. Nowadays, the most well-known is VCV Rack by Andrew Belt.

Funnily enough, throughout recent years, the creator of this is now making the NYSTHI selection of modules in VCV Rack, another virtual modular synthesizer application.

Compatibility notes

Tested and confirmed working under Mac OS 9.0.4 in SheepShaver.

Refer to the documentation and example project files included to understand and use the program, as it lacks the decades of workflow improvements modern virtual modular applications have nowadays.

Emulating this? It could probably run under: SheepShaver
