What is NCSA Import2HDF 1.0.4?

What Is NCSA Import2HDF?

NCSA Import2HDF is a software tool developed to enable people possessing files in formats other than HDF to convert those files to HDF in order to use the various tools available that work with HDF format files.

Additionally, NCSA Import2HDF provides the abiltiy to change labels associated with elements of HDF files. Each raster image set or Scientific Data Set the an HDF file contains can be assigned a label. The ability to alter and add labels is provided. Scientific data sets and Raster image sets may also be displayed.


Special Features

NCSA Import2HDF allows you to:

  • Convert FITS, TIFF, GIF, raw raster image and ascii files to the HDF format.
  • Display the contents of HDF files.
  • Display  Raster Image Sets in the form of color raster images.
  • Display Scientific Data Sets in spreadsheet fashion.
